Brava: ICCA promotes a meeting that brings parents and children closer together on the island.
The head of the Cape Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA) in Brava announced today an activity entitled "They Tell You About Your Day-to-Day Experience as a Father," dedicated to the fathers of students at the Furna School.
Rosana Sousa, speaking to Inforpress, explained that the initiative, framed within the Father's Day celebrations on March 19th, aims to promote a closer relationship between fathers and children, encouraging more positive, responsible, and participatory parenting in the educational process.
The activity will take place on Saturday, March 21st, at 3:00 PM, at the Furna School facilities, and will include open conversation, games, and group activities, providing a space for participants to share experiences.
Rosana Sousa highlighted the importance of involving parents in the holistic development of children, emphasizing that "strengthening family ties and communication within the family are fundamental for the healthy growth of children and adolescents."
The initiative is the result of a partnership between the Furna School and the ICCA – Brava Unit, and also aims to raise awareness among parents about their active role in the education and training of their children.
With this action, the promoters hope to contribute to strengthening family relationships and building a more conscious and inclusive society.
